Mother of Badlapur sexual assault case Akshay Shinde, who was shot and killed by the police on Monday eveningdismissed claims made by the Maharashtra police about the sequence of events that led to his death and said he was killed as part of a “larger conspiracy”.
Speaking to the India Today channel, Aajtak, Alka Shinde said, “Akshay Shinde’s murder was a premeditated conspiracy. The police killed my child. The school authorities must be investigated along with the police. We will not accept Akshay’s body until there is an investigation and the suspects are they are punished.”
Alka Shinde further said that Akshay told her, while he was in the meeting, that he was being beaten by the police in the cell.
Alok Shinde was killed near Mumbra Bypass at around 18:15 on Monday, 23 September, when he grabbed a policeman’s gun while it was being loaded into a police car as part of an investigation into a case filed on the complaint of his ex-wife. .
After shooting and injuring an officer, another member of the team that accompanied him shot him, and the doctors at Kalwa Civil Hospital declared him dead.
Shinde’s mother and uncle asked the police and said that he would not have been able to snatch the policeman’s weapon.
He was not depressed, they added.
“The police killed our child. The school management must also be investigated. The police found that he had written something but we don’t know what it is,” continued the relative.
“My son was afraid of bursting crackers and crossing the road, how can he shoot the police,” she asked.
Shinde was arrested on August 17 for the crime sexually assaulting two girls, aged four and five, in the school bathroom five days earlier. This incident caused a lot of noise among the protests that were held in this area. Shinde was working as a cleaner at the school.
The local police initially investigated the case, but the Maharashtra government set up a special investigation team (SIT) following a public outcry about the irregularities in the police investigation. The SIT filed chargesheets on Monday, September 16, against accused Akshay Shinde and members of the school management.
