Anna Shinde, the father of Badlapur rape case Akshay Shinde, on Tuesday filed a petition in the Bombay High Court, seeking a court-ordered investigation by the Special Investigation Team (SIT). to meet his son.
Akshay Shinde is accused of sexually assaulting two teenage girls at a school in Badlapur, Maharashtra. He was he was killed by a policeman while being taken to Badlapur from Taloja Jail in Navi Mumbai on Monday evening.
Anna Shinde’s petition, moved by lawyer Amit Katarnaware, alleged that Akshay was killed in a “fake encounter”.
It also demanded a court-appointed SIT to investigate the Badlapur sex-rape case, saying the previous SIT had “failed” and had not arrested anyone so far except Akshay Shinde.
Anna Shinde’s petition also revealed that there was a larger conspiracy behind Akshay’s death.
“The defendant was in custody when he was shot and killed in a fake incident. This is an unintentional killing by criminals who were in uniform,” said Advocate Katarnaware as quoted by the media. The PTI.
A bench of Justices Revati Mohite Dere and Prithviraj Chavan will hear the plea on Wednesday morning. Katarnaware, while speaking of urgency, said evidence will be dismissed in the case if there is any delay.
Apart from this, journalist-turned-activist Ketan Tirodkar also approached the Supreme Court complaining that Akshay Shinde wanted to communicate with the former IPS officer and wanted to reveal some information. He was killed by the police before he did that, said the activist’s request.
Shinde, who used to sweep a school in Badlapur, was arrested on August 17 in a case of sexual assault of two girls, 3 and 4. The incident sparked widespread protests, with parents and other locals blocking the railway tracks in Badlapur. channel.
On Monday, Shinde was taken from Taloja jail to Badlapur in connection with a case of unnatural sex filed by his ex-wife.
According to the police, the defendant took the policeman’s weapon and opened fire when he was leaving the prison in a police car. He was seriously injured during the shooting and died in hospital.
