Andy Cohen again Anderson Cooper they share everything from the same initials to the same jobs, making it easy to see why the two are perfect for friendship.
Cohen and Cooper met in the early 1990s when they were almost set up on a blind date. However, the dynamic of the two was not romantic because Cohen broke Cooper’s “big rule” of dating – talking to his socialite mother, Gloria Vanderbilt.
Although the duo never went on a date, they formed a friendship that grew into a strong working relationship. Cohen and Cooper have hit the road together every year since 2016 for their talk show tour, “AC2: An Intimate Evening with Anderson Cooper and Andy Cohen.” The two also co-hosted CNN New Year’s Eve Live together since 2017.
The BFFs have been by each other’s side since they are both parents. Cohen welcomed her son, Benjamin, via surrogate in February 2019. Cooper, meanwhile, announced the birth of her son, Wyatt, via surrogate in April 2020.
Cohen revealed via Instagram in May 2020 that he hopes their sons will be “best friends” when they grow up – just like their father. She and Cooper have since welcomed daughter Lucy and son Sebastian, respectively.
