Passengers on an American Airlines flight from Dallas, Texas, to Minneapolis, Minnesota, were in for an unexpected surprise after the toilet leaked into the hallway.
Another passenger, Hilary Stewart Blazevic, told Storyful that the woman was using the toilet before the leak and did not notify staff of any problems.
Flight crews rushed to the scene to try to stop the leak, according to a video recorded by Blazevic.

The water could not be shut off, and the leak seeped into the cabin floor during the three-hour flight.

“It was disbelief and a little bit of a shock when I realized they weren’t going to shut off the water,” Blazevic told Storyful.
In the video, passengers can be seen holding up their bags to avoid what Blazevic called the “disgusting” liquid, while others try to tread water.

Social media users responded to the clip, posting comments online.

The man added, “Someone connected the toilet, lolol??”
“Water is better than fuel,” commented another.

In April, an Alaska Airlines flight from Honolulu, Hawaii, to Anchorage, Alaska had to turn around after the bathroom sinks filled with water, FOX Business reported.

Dustin Parker, a passenger on the plane, told KTUU-TV that the water reached two to four inches.
Video shot by Parker shows the flight crew throwing paper towels on the ground in an attempt to soak up the flooding.

“We apologize to our guests for the inconvenience this has caused and commend the staff for their actions to ensure the well-being and comfort of our guests,” an Alaska Airlines spokesperson said in a statement to FOX Business.
