Allison Holker she explained her intention after entering her information about her late husband Stephen “tWitch” Manager in his future memory.
“To Stephen’s fans and our family and friends, I want to be clear that my only purpose in writing this book is to share my story and part of my life with Stephen to help other people,” wrote Holker, 36. on his Instagram Story on Wednesday, January 8. “Like you, I never really knew what happened, and as I try to put the pieces together I will never really know.”
Holker shared that for people who decide to take up the book, titled So Far: My Story of Love, Loss, and Embracing the Lightshe hopes they will know she intended to “celebrate the love and life” she and Boss had with their three children: daughters Wesley Renae and Zaia and son Maddox. (The manager died in December 2020 by suicide. He was 40 years old.)
“I hope that by sharing our full story, maybe I can help someone else who may identify themselves or a loved one with Stephen,” Holker continued. “In my sharing, I hope that maybe they can catch the red flags that I missed before it’s too late.”
While writing the book, Holker shared that he spoke with several mental health nonprofits over the past “two years” to ensure he was able to write truthfully and accurately about a difficult issue. He also plans to donate profits from the novel to a foundation he established in Boss’s memory.
“My hope is that we will not have to lose another husband, brother, father, or friend to suicide,” he said, “I believe that if Stephen had a choice, he would choose to have his story told if that meant it.” even saving one life. We love all those who have supported our family over the years.”
Earlier this week, Holker came under fire online after revealing details about Boss’s life that he had never shared publicly before his death. Holker also admitted to reading Boss’s journals in an attempt to find them which were closed after his death.

Many of Boss’s family members and friends publicly criticized Holker after the article went live.
