AECOM will partner with Kier and Morrison Water Services to provide design engineering services for the multi-billion dollar project.

DALLAS – AECOM (NYSE: ACM), a trusted global infrastructure consulting firm, today announced that it has been selected by two contractors to support Southern Water’s $4.8 billion delivery system. The selection is the latest from Southern Water, the UK’s largest water utility, as it studies the supply chain to deliver a range of infrastructure and wastewater projects over the AMP8 period, between 2025 and 2030.

AECOM will serve as Kier’s detailed design partner, along with Pell Frischmann, its latest selection in Southern Water’s Strategic Delivery Partner (SDP) Framework, working with Kier on Lot 1 of the non-infrastructure water projects and Lot 2 of the water dirty non-infrastructure. projects.

Following their selection in Southern Water’s SDP Lot 3 Framework for infrastructure projects, and the Baseline Delivery Framework for Area 2 (Wastewater), Morrison Water Services once again asked AECOM to be the sole design partner for both frameworks. The terms of office are seven and five years respectively, with the option to extend for an additional five years.

AECOM will support the selection, specification and detailed design of all water and wastewater projects that help improve outcomes for customers, communities and the environment. This builds on AECOM’s successful two-term appointment under the AMP8 Professional Services Framework for Southern Water, which provides asset management and program/project management services.
