Abhimanigala Balaga to organize photo exhibition and release book of 700 freedom fighters from KK district

To celebrate the 149th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the members of Kalyana Karnataka Swatantra Horatagara Abhimanigala Balaga will release a book on the freedom fighters of Kalyana Karnataka region and organize a photo exhibition at Kalaburagi on October 31.

Girishgowda B. Inamdar, president of Abhimanigala Balaga, speaking to the media here on Saturday, said that the exhibition will display the photographs of 700 people from Kalyana Karnataka region who contributed to the liberation of Kalyana Karnataka region (formerly known as Hyderabad Karnataka region) from. Nizam’s rule. The photos shown will have a brief description detailing their achievements, collected from official and family sources.

Dakshayani S. Appa, chairman of Sharanabasaveshwara Vidya Vardhak Sangha, will preside over the event.

Medical Education Minister Sharan Prakash Patil will inaugurate the exhibition, while Forest, Environment and Natural Resources Minister Eshwar B. Khandre will release a book on the freedom fighters.

Balaga will also award ‘Kalyana Kayaka Ratna’ to eight people for their contribution in various fields.
