Chiranjeevi, one of the superstars of Indian cinema, has broken many records in his 46-year-old career. But on Monday, one of those achievements appeared in the Guinness World Records. It was a personal achievement for the Megastar as he was awarded the Most Prolific Film Star in Indian Cinema for dancing in over 537 songs and delivering 24,000 dance moves. The timing of the event was very important as it was the day Chiranjeevi made his debut in cinema way back in 1978. Apart from Chiranjeevi’s fans and family members, the event was attended by many directors and big names of the industry, including Aamir. Khan.

Chiranjeevi he started his acceptance speech by thanking Aamir Khan for hosting the event. “Thank you very much, Aamir ji. Your presence made it truly memorable for me. Exploring the connection between himself and dancing, Chiranjeevi said, “Since my childhood, I used to entertain people around me with my dances. That was my motivation to become an actor. Even when I went to NCC camps in my 7th and 8th class, we used to turn our aluminum plates as percussion instruments, and I used to dance and entertain my friends. Dancing is an important part of my life.” The megastar went on to say that this is an aspect of his talent that ensured his rise to the limelight. “I remember my fellow singers like Savitri garu, Roja Ramani, Narasimha Raju watching me dance when I was just starting out. It was a particularly rainy evening, and it was very slippery. I just danced without stopping. Even as I skated, I turned to the Naagini dance. After another director told the director about my dancing skills, they added a second dance and song to my character,” said a fired-up Chiranjeevi, who said this was the first of many such times where his dancing skills have benefited his acting career.

Chiranjeevi also talked about how many filmmakers chose him because he adds momentum to the film with the way he sings and in the songs. “Audiences wanted film songs, and gradually I started trading with producers. I have to thank all the filmmakers, composers, and music producers for putting their extra effort into my songs. Even in movies that didn’t have songs, they created them. Yes, sometimes it interfered with the narrative, but the songs had a special audience, and we had to treat them,” said Megastar, adding briefly that his childhood hobby gave him everything including a Guinness Record.

Festive offer

He enjoys every move, and because of that, we can’t take our eyes off him. His joy is contagious, and we all feel it as we watch him.”

Aamir celebrated how Chiranjeevi enjoyed every minute of his dancing. “If you see any of his songs, his heart is in it. He is enjoying himself. Our eyes do not leave him because he is sitting comfortably. We are also affected by that. I am happy to be here and your achievements are many. You will continue this journey creating many achievements and many beginnings. We will always be there to cheer you on and applaud you.”
