Four youths, including a class 10 student and three of his friends have been arrested in Agra for allegedly raping his teacher after secretly recording a video of him. This student, along with his friends, shared this video on Instagram, which led to public outrage.
The teacher was teaching this student where he lives. The suspect recorded a video of himself taking a shower while visiting. He then used the video to engage her in sexual intercourse.
While the teacher tried to distance himself and prevent contact with him, the student shared the video with his friends and posted it on Instagram. The teacher, fearing public humiliation, was pushed to the brink of suicide.
After the teacher refused to continue the meeting, the student pressured him to meet his friends, which caused him great emotional distress.
A team of supporters of the “Mission Shakti” campaign intervened, and Agra Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Suraj Rai arrested the student and his three accomplices. One suspect, who created an Instagram page, is still at large.
Vishal Sharma, Vice Chairman of Hindustani Biradari, condemned the violation of the teacher-student relationship, calling it an “unforgivable crime.”
Social activist Sameer Qureshi echoed this, stressing that students who do not respect their teachers will not succeed in life. Activist Vijay Upadhyay also criticized the growing trends of drug abuse and misbehavior among the youth, stressing the importance of respecting teachers.
