“I was very nervous because this is a program unlike anything I’ve done before,” said Gomez The Hollywood Reporter in May. “Although I have such a small part, it is such a big and special project that I feel lucky to have been able to be a part of it.”
Gomez also recalled the audition process, during which he said he “acted like crazy.” He told the newspaper, “[Director Jacques Audiard] he wanted me to do a number one and I just gave in and gave myself completely.
