Israel Hezbollah Conflict Live: The Israeli military early Tuesday launched a “limited” and “targeted” ground offensive against the Iran-backed Hezbollah terrorist group in southern Lebanon. In a post on X, the Israel Defense Forces said, “The IDF launched a limited, localized, and targeted attack based on direct intelligence against Hezbollah terrorist targets.” The Israeli military said the targets were located in towns near the border, and “immediately pose a threat to Israeli communities in northern Israel.” This world attack points to the escalation of the conflict in West Asia, which began with the attack of the Palestinian terrorist group Hamas on Israel on October 7, 2023.

Israel’s attack on the world follows pager attacks, two weeks of airstrikes, and the assassination of Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah last week. Heavy airstrikes have killed several Hezbollah commanders while killing around 1,000 civilians and forcing a million to flee their homes, according to the Lebanese government. In the past 24 hours, at least 95 people have been killed and 172 injured in Israeli strikes in the southern regions of Lebanon, the eastern Bekaa Valley and Beirut, the Lebanese Ministry of Health was quoted as saying. Reuters Tuesday morning.

PM Modi calls Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu: Amid tensions in West Asia, Prime Minister Narendra Modi spoke to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday, stressing the importance of preventing further escalation in the region. “Terrorism has no place in our world. It is important to prevent regional escalation and to ensure the safe release of all hostages,” Modi said on channel X. He reiterated India’s commitment to support efforts to quickly restore peace and stability.
