The retired football players finalized their divorce on December 4, 2024, according to court documents obtained by. Us. They each retain the rights to their respective names, likenesses and photos and will share joint legal custody of children Sloane and Ocean, who will live in New Jersey. According to the documents, any move would have to be made in the best interest of the children.
The documents also reveal that Krieger, 40, and Harris, 39, sold their properties in Florida to split their assets. Each maintains individual savings accounts and vehicles. Kriege also gets to keep a security deposit on his New Jersey home.
Us previously confirmed that Harris was the first to file for divorce in Florida in September 2023. In the filing, Harris described her marriage to Krieger as “irretrievably broken.”

After news of his breakup with Krieger broke, rumors spread that Harris had moved on with the actress Sophia Bushwho was also recently separated from then-husband Grant Hughes. Krieger also asked the court to implement a “legal and residential arrangement and parenting time that protects the best interests of their two children.” Krieger and Harris have two children – daughter Sloane and son Ocean – due in 2021 and 2022, respectively.
In addition to the custody arrangement, Krieger also asked the court to divide Harris’ assets and liabilities equally. Krieger also wanted Harris to pay child support and legal fees.
Harris and Krieger met while playing for the US National Football Team and got engaged in September 2018. While the pair kept their romance low-key at first, they decided to go public and got married the following year.
As Krieger and Harris navigated their split publicly, both athletes opened up about their relationship struggles. In November 2024, Harris said that she and Krieger were “not close” during their marriage.
“I didn’t feel that emotional or physical connection. It was soccer, work, kids and somewhere it was like, ‘Okay, what about me?'” he said in an episode of the “Nude Sports With Cari Champion” podcast. “I decided to leave my marriage after almost four years and ten years together. Krieger eventually pushed back on Harris’ claims.
“I am so overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support I have received over the past year,” Krieger wrote on Instagram. “However, amidst this warmth, I have had to face a wave of infidelity and misinformation about my marriage and personal life. Although I am not ready to make an official statement, I feel compelled to correct this now to avoid further distortion of the truth.”
He continued: “Above all else, my unwavering priority is the protection and well-being of my children. I promise to share more when my heart feels ready. In this vulnerable time, I humbly ask for privacy and understanding from all involved, as I go through major changes in my personal life. “
