Celebrity bodyguard Yusuf Ibrahimwho also owns a security company for celebrities, recently talked about his relationship with Alia Bhatt. Yusuf, who currently handles Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor’s security, opens up about his equation with the Raazi star and shares how he’s seen him grow—from being a 17-year-old actor to starring in Student of the Year to now . to be a mother to a beautiful daughter. He also discussed managing celebrity weddings and expressed his opinion on the serious issue of famous people who do not want the paparazzi to photograph their children.
Speaking to Zoom about his relationship with Alia, Yusuf said, “I’ve known Alia Bhatt since Student of the Year. She was 17-18 years old at that time, and now she is a mother of a beautiful child. I have seen her grow from a little girl to a lady. Watching his actors perform in films like Raazi and Gangubai Kathiawadi has been an amazing experience. When he started in this industry, he was still a child, and we took care of him like him. On the contrary, you have seen me grow with my company.”
As Yusuf handles security at various high-profile Bollywood weddings, he revealed that Alia often teases him for “marrying everyone” in the industry. “He sometimes teases me saying that I have been marrying Bollywood celebrities because I have been in charge of security at many weddings such as Shahid Kapoor’s, Vicky Kaushal’s, Varun Dhawan’s, and his. Don’t laugh,’Aap Bollywood ka ghar basa rahe ho,’” he shared. Adding further, he said, “He has always been very sweet to me and respectful, and he has a very good heart.”
Yusuf also expressed his thoughts on celebrities who do not want their children photographed. Explaining how they handle situations like this, he said, “I have a good relationship with the paparazzi. In the field, if I ask them not to take a picture, they usually listen and don’t click. They are very kind about it. And it works both ways. When photographers want a picture of this star and ask us to help prepare it, celebrities also oblige. It’s like working hand in hand.”
