A truck carrying fruits overturned on NH-63 in Karnataka’s Uttara Kannada district on Wednesday morning (January 22).
According to initial reports, the truck was carrying more than 30 people. The police have confirmed that eight people have died, so far, and the rescue operation is ongoing.
The truck was reportedly traveling from Haveri to Kunta and overturned between Arebail and Gullapur in northeastern Uttara Kannada.

Last month, six people died after a container truck overturned and crushed their car on the other side of the road, near Bengaluru.
