4 boys from Jaipur who went missing on their way to Maha Kumbh, were found at a religious event in Prayagraj

Four youths, who went missing in Jaipur on their way to the ongoing Kumbh Mela, have been found in the world’s largest religious congregation in Prayagraj, police said on Sunday.

The boys – Nihal Sahu, Praveen Neel, Ayush Khoji and Amit Chaudhary – all 14 years old – went missing from Jaipur Rural around 9 am on Saturday.

Police said the four boys left home and came to Prayagraj to attend the ongoing Maha Kumbh. Maha Kumbh is held at Triveni Sangam from January 13 to February 26, where a large number of devotees will be holy.

However, after some time after reaching Prayagraj, the boys planned to go somewhere else but as they had no more money, they contacted their friend in Jaipur Rural, police said.

They asked their friend to deposit Rs 2,500 online into the auto driver’s account, who in turn would give them an equal amount. The friend then informed the families of the four youths, after which they informed the police station in charge of Jaipur Rural.

The Jaipur Rural police shared the information with their counterparts in neighboring Uttar Pradesh.

The Uttar Pradesh Police acted on the information provided by the Jaipur Rural Police and finally traced the boys after contacting the driver of the vehicles.

A team of Jaipur police and the families of the youths have left for Prayagraj to bring them back.
