OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, a tech billionaire, has met as much with President-elect Donald Trump as, well, almost every other billionaire tech.
In fact, he met with Trump by trolling Democrats who sent a letter worried that Altman was… Democratic politicians Elizabeth Warren and Michael Bennet sent a letter to Altman worried that he was trying to “coddle the Trump administration” to “avoid scrutiny, impose restrictions, and buy grace.” The letter revealed that Altman contributed $1 million to Trump’s first fund.

Altman isn’t the only tech guy to give money and/or good credit to Trump. As Mashable noted in previous coverage, Amazon’s Jeff Bezos, Meta’s Mark Zuckerberg, and Tesla’s Elon Musk, among other tech power players, are all set to attend the opening ceremony. The TikTok boss has gone out of his way to praise the president-elect ahead of the impending ban. Almost everyone in the tech world has jumped right into Trump’s waiting arms.
