In a gruesome incident, a youth allegedly attacked a 25-year-old woman with a surgical knife, slitting her throat in Nirmal town on Friday (January 17, 2025) evening.
According to sources, the incident took place at Sofi Nagar in Nirmal district headquarters. Divya, a resident of Sofi Nagar was badly injured and bleeding from her throat in the alleged attack by Santosh of the locality.
Santosh is said to have lent a hand to Divya’s family members a few months ago. When Divya insisted on repaying the loan, Santosh became enraged and attacked her with a scalpel, before fleeing, the sources added.
Divya who was seriously injured was taken to a local hospital.
