When does the 2025 NBA All-Star Voting begin?
NBA All-Star Voting for the 2025 game begins Thursday, December 19, 2024, at 10 a.m. ET. Voting will continue until Monday, Jan. 20, 2025, at 11:59 pm ET.
How to vote for the 2025 NBA All-Star game
Fans were able to vote for the NBA All-Star Game starters on the NBA app or NBA.com.
This year, the NBA is bringing back a new wrinkle called “3-for-1 Days.” In those days, fans had six days in which their vote was counted three times. The 3-in-1 voting dates are below:

What is the format of the 2025 NBA All-Star Game?
This season’s format is a four-team, three-game, one-night tournament, with three teams each featuring eight All-Stars and the fourth-place Rising Stars team for first- and second-year players. The team that will win all the games will be the one that will collect 40 points first.
How does NBA All-Star voting work?
Aside from the new format, the NBA All-Star voting process will be the same as last year. The starters for the NBA All-Star Game are chosen by fans, NBA players and the media. Fan votes make up 50 percent of the votes. All current players and a select group of media representatives will count 25 percent each. Players and media cast only one vote.
How are archives selected?
The reserves are chosen by a vote among the head coaches, although the head coaches are not allowed to vote for their players. There are seven final spots for each conference.
When will the voting results be released?
Updates to fan polls were shared on Jan. 2, 9 and 16. TNT will reveal the starters for the NBA All-Star Game on Thursday, Jan. 23. The reservation will be announced on Thursday, Jan. 30 during the TNT NBA Tip-Off.
How will teams be selected?
TNT analysts Shaquille O’Neal, Charles Barkley and Kenny Smith will list the 24-man All-Star pool on Feb. 6. The teams will be called by their names – Team Shaq, Team Charles and Team Kenny.
The Rising Stars winner who will go to the All-Star tournament will be named Team Candace, by Candace Parker.
Who will coach the 2025 NBA All-Star Game?
The coaching staff from the teams with the best records in the Eastern and Western Conferences will go to the All-Star Game. (It can’t be the Milwaukee or Minnesota coaching staff this year, as they coached last year.)
The East and West head coaches will coach each team in the tournament; one assistant coach from each team will serve as the coach for the other two teams in the All-Star tournament.
What is the prize money?
There is a $1.8 million prize pool for the All-Star Game.
Each player on the All-Star champion team will receive $125,000, each player on the runner-up team will receive $50,000 and the players on the semi-final teams will each receive $25,000.
When is the 2025 NBA All-Star game?
The 2025 NBA All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, Feb. 16, 2025. The game will air at 8 pm ET in San Francisco, California.
