Catherine, Princess of Wales, said on Tuesday that her cancer is in remission, almost 10 months after announcing her diagnosis. Princess Kate made the announcement on social media after visiting a London hospital where she was being treated.
“It’s a relief now that I’m in remission and I’m still focused on recovery,” he said in a post on Instagram after visiting the Royal Marsden Hospital in London. “As anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer will know, it takes time to adjust to a new situation.”
The princess had it announced last March that the cancer was diagnosed later abdominal surgery and was receiving preventive chemotherapy.
In September he said he still had it chemotherapy. He talked about receiving cancer treatment during his visit on Tuesday. “It’s really hard,” he said, according to the Associated Press. “It’s very shocking.”
Kate spoke to patient Katherine Field about the chemotherapy port used to deliver the treatment, saying, “I’m so attached to it,” and joking that she was almost reluctant to have it removed, according to the AP.

Taking to social media on Tuesday, Kate said she visited the hospital to thank the staff for “taking such good care of me over the past year.”
“My heartfelt thanks go out to everyone who has walked quietly alongside me and William as we’ve checked everything,” she said, referring to her husband, the Prince of Wales. “We could not have asked for more. The care and advice we have received throughout my time as a patient has been excellent.”

Kensington Palace also announced that she and William are now patrons of the hospital.
“I hope that by supporting basic research and clinical excellence, as well as promoting patient and family health, we can save many lives, and change the experience of all those affected by cancer,” Kate said on social media.
Since 2007, William has held the role of hospital president. his mother, Princess Dianahe also held that position, according to the palace. The hospital is recognized as a world-leading cancer center with three sites in London.
Kate spoke to other patients as well as doctors and nurses during Tuesday’s visit, according to the British Press Association news agency.
“The body is amazing at telling us ‘you need to get out,'” she said after learning of the man’s diagnosis.

“The uncertainty of this initial diagnosis,” he said. “There is so much information. Understanding the diagnosis, a huge amount of information to take in as a patient. Having that going on, in the clinical setting and outside the home setting, is very important.”
