In a stunning display of wealth and ingenuity, a billionaire from China’s Fujian province has planned a jaw-dropping drive to get his Rolls-Royce Ghost up to his 44th floor luxury bedroom. The luxury car, placed in a protective steel cage, was lifted by a crane above the city, attracting the attention of many people.
The Rolls-Royce Ghost, a masterpiece of engineering with a starting price of $350,000, weighs 2.7 tons. Moving it to such an exotic location required careful planning. The car was protected inside a custom-built steel cage to protect it from possible damage during the climb. Once lifted, it was gently placed on the terrace of the lodge, where the crew made sure it was in a safe place.
The motivation for this extravagant endeavor was the owner’s desire to use this car as the centerpiece of his special home. While many people display art or sculptures, this billionaire chose to highlight his luxury car, creating a unique decorative display.
This action is not the first of its kind. Similar works have been done by other wealthy car enthusiasts. Australia’s Adrian Portelli lifted the McLaren Senna GTR into his 57th-floor kitchen, while the McLaren Elva found its way to the 48th floor of a luxury tower in Seattle.
Although the Rolls-Royce Ghost will no longer grace the streets, it now enjoys a beautiful view of the city from its new location. For its owner, the car’s presence on the terrace is a symbol of luxury, blending art, design, and engineering into a spectacular spectacle.
This unusual display serves as a reminder of how the super rich are redefining excess, turning even mundane objects like cars into extravagant symbols of status and personal expression.
