Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Tuesday (January 14, 2025) praised the army for protecting the country and assured them of his government’s full support in alleviating their problems.
He was speaking at a function organized by the Army at the Tanda Artillery Brigade in the Akhnoor sector near Jammu to celebrate the ninth Army Veterans Day celebrations. The Defense Minister was accompanied by the Chief of Defense Staff, General Anil Chauhan.
“You gave everything for this nation without taking care of yourself… you did your duties and now it is our duty to take care of your needs and solve your problems,” said the Chief Minister.
He assured the soldiers that his government will support them to deal with their problems.
“You have done us a great favor by protecting our borders and I assure you that the government of J&K will always be at your disposal. If there is a shortfall, we will correct it and we will contact you and ensure that you get the reservation and any financial assistance required,” he said.
