On this day, various festivals like Makar Sankranti, Pongal, Uttarayana, Makaravilakku, and Ishti will be celebrated across the country. It is recommended to check the Tithi early in the morning and note the good and bad times before doing any rituals. According to Drik Panchang, on January 14, the sun is expected to rise at 7:15 AM and set at 5:46 PM. The moon will rise at 6:09 PM and set at 7:42 AM.
TITI, NAKSHATRA, AND RASHI DETAILS FOR JANUARY 14
On this day, Pratipada Tithi will remain active till 3:21 AM on January 15, after which it will switch to Dwitiya Tithi. After the completion of Punarvasu Nakshatra at 10:17 AM, Pushya Nakshatra will begin. Sun will stay in Dhanu Rashi till 9:03 AM, while moon stays in Karka Rashi.
SHUBH MUHURAT FOR JANUARY 14
On January 14, Brahma Muhurat, the first auspicious time of the day, will take place from 5:27 AM to 6:21 AM. Dear Abhijit Muhurat is scheduled between 12:09 PM and 12:51 PM. Pratah Sandhya will be observed from 5:54 AM to 7:15 AM, while Vijaya Muhurat will take place from 2:15 PM to 2:57 PM. In the evening, Godhuli Muhurat will take place from 5:43 PM to 6:10 PM, followed by Sayahna Sandhya from 5:46 PM to 7:07 PM.
