As the wildfires continue to spread across the Los Angeles area, several celebrities are taking to social media to share how they’ve been affected.
“It’s out and safe with kids, dogs and cats. I pray and thank the first responders,” Mandy Moore wrote on Wednesday, January 8, a statement on Instagram Story. In the next post, he added that his family is “thankful for the kindness of the friends we had a place to reach last night.”
Moore — who shares children Gus, 3, Ozzie, 2, and Lou, 3 months, with her husband, Taylor Goldsmith – he continued: “Trying to protect children from the great sadness and anxiety I feel. We pray for everyone in our beautiful city. So you are willing to be destroyed and lost. I don’t know if our place is successful.”
Windstorms in Santa Ana have caused burning brush fires to start on Tuesday, January 7. CNN reported Wednesday that more than 50,000 people were under evacuation orders Tuesday night, and more than 30,000 remained under orders as of Wednesday.
Among those who were transported were Mark Hamillwho informed his Instagram followers that he, his wife, Marilou Yorkand their dog, Trixie, were staying at her daughter Chelsea’s house. “Worst fire since 93 🔥🔥,” he wrote on Wednesday. “STAY SAFE!”
