More than 2.79 crore students, teachers and parents from the country and abroad have registered for the eighth edition of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s annual program ahead of the board exams, Pariksha Pe Charcha. The Union Ministry of Education said in a release here on Thursday (January 9, 2024) that the number of students is expected to record a record this year and the popularity of the program “turning the stress related to exams into a festival of learning and celebration” is increasing. “This amazing response underlines the growing growth of this program as a fact Jan Andolan,” said the Minister in the release.
Online registration, hosted on the MyGov.in portal, started on December 14, 2024 and will remain open till January 14. “The huge popularity of the program highlights its success in addressing the mental health of students and promoting a positive attitude towards exams. ,” it added.
A discussion event for students with Mr. Modi, which is organized annually by the Department of School Education and Literacy, will be held at the Bharat Mandapam here in the form of a town hall.
As part of the program this year, the Department has organized folk dance sessions, marathon runs, meme competitions, street theatre, yoga-cum-meditation sessions and mental health workshops and counseling sessions. “Through these activities, Pariksha Pe Charcha The year 2025 reinforces its message of resilience, confidence, and joy in learning, ensuring that education is celebrated as a journey rather than a pressure-driven task,” the Department said.
