A 28-year-old woman working at a call center of an international company in Pune’s Yerawada area died after being stabbed multiple times by her co-worker in a car park. This sad incident happened on Tuesday night and it is reported that it was caused by a financial dispute.
The accused, Krishna Satyanarayan Kanoja, 30, confronted the woman when he was going home at around 18:30 in the afternoon. The argument between the two happened in the morning, according to police officials.
CCTV footage from the scene shows Kanoja brandishing a kitchen knife and charging at the woman, who is seen lying on the floor in pain. Despite his efforts to defend himself, Kanoja continued to stab him multiple times, including in his right elbow.
The woman was rushed to a nearby private hospital in critical condition, bleeding profusely. However, despite efforts to save him, he died during treatment.
Police officials confirmed that the attack was sparked by a financial dispute between two colleagues. Kanoja was arrested and charged under Section 103 (1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita for murder.
