At the CES 2025 press conference, Samsung recently announced that the Ballie home robot they showed last year will be available for sale this year. This cute yellow foldable device has a built-in projector that allows it to project photos and videos onto your walls and floor, so you can interact with it. No further information on pricing and a specific time window has been shared, however.
When it was first announced, Samsung said The Washington Post that Ballie will be available sometime in 2024. Alas, here we are six days into 2025 with no actual date or price yet. We first saw an iteration of Ballie in 2020, when the object was an orb the size of a tennis ball that a Samsung executive gently stroked in their hands. At the time, Ballie was called a “fitness assistant,” and Samsung also showed off capabilities like smart home control last year.
