Raymond Hall/GC PhotosNelly Furtado entered 2025 feeling sexier in her own skin than ever.
Furtado, 46, took to social media on Sunday, January 5, to share two candid photos of herself rocking a neon orange bikini. The Instagram carousel started with a frontal, full-length shot of the singer and closed with a selfie of Furtado snapping her frame from the side.
The “Maneater” hitmaker paired his post with a lengthy message that showcased his experience in 2024. “This year I saw the pressure of the beauty of my work in a new way, at the same time I found new levels of self-love and self-love. true confidence inside,” Furtado began before recalling that he “took legal action against a few crooks” who were allegedly “peddling health and beauty myths about me.”
Furtado did not provide any further details in the legal proceeding before moving on to the subject of his appearance and revealing recent dental work. “For anyone who cares, I haven’t had any facial or body surgery or augmentation, other than the veneers on my teeth, recently,” Furtado wrote. “Until now, I have never had any facial or lip injections or fillers of any kind.”
She then shared her long-held beauty secrets, including the “old-school face” Furtado first achieved in her 20s and drinking “lots of water” and sleeping on her back to ensure she looked fresh on red carpets and during professional photo shoots.
“Sometimes on the red carpet or in photos my makeup artist uses masking tape to lift my eyes, skin and makeup,” Furtado also revealed in the post. “Sometimes my stylist uses body tape to give a certain look to different silhouettes. The body shape can also sometimes be contoured to achieve a certain look. Makeup can do magical things! So are good eyebrows! So is a great hairdresser!”
Furtado — who shares her daughter Nevis Gahunia with her ex Jasper Gahunia and another daughter and son (whose names have not been made public) and ex Gerard Damien Long – added that he is proud of the “spider veins” his body has. “They remind me of my mother and aunt and life so I think that’s why I haven’t separated from them until now ❤️.”
The singer ends his song with an encouraging message to his fans. “Express yourself freely, celebrate who you are and know that it’s okay to conform to what you see in the mirror, and it’s okay to want something different,” she wrote. “We’re all beautiful little people just jumping around the world looking for hugs.”
