Diane Keaton has been captivating viewers since the 1970s – and shows no signs of stopping.
Following his stage debut in Broadway’s first production in 1968 The hairKeaton turned to film. His first role was in the 1970s Lovers and other strangerstwo years before he got his big break Francis Ford Coppola‘s The Godfather.
“I always thought I was the outsider, the weirdo in the movie, and ‘Why was I cast in it?’ and I was speechless,” Keaton said of her character, Kay Adams, while celebrating the film’s 45th anniversary at the 2017 Tribeca Film Festival. “But then I had a few good scenes too Al [Pacino].”
At the time, the Oscar winner admitted that he hadn’t seen the famous mafia movie in almost three decades. “I saw it on my computer. I haven’t seen it for 30 years,” he said. “And … I miss all the people, I couldn’t stand it, it was so amazing, it was so good, and everyone was so big on it, and the music, and all the choices. [Coppola] done.”
Keaton went on to appear in the franchise’s 1974 sequel and 1990 sequel. Although her big curves deserve to be rewarded, fans also love it Then Again the comic timing of the writer Annie Hall, Father of the Bride, Family Stone and more.
