Police are scrutinizing all arms licenses issued in Maharashtra’s Beed district and verifying in every case if a person has a legitimate need for a gun, a police official said.

First Information Reports (FIRs) will be registered against people whose pictures or videos while displaying a gun are circulated on social media, Beed Superintendent of Police Navneet Kanwat told reporters on Monday (December 31, 2024).
