Gwyneth Paltrow Shares Everything To ‘Let It Go’ in 2024

Gwyneth Paltrow it leaves 2024 in the past and into the new year.

Taking to his Instagram on Sunday, December 29, the 52-year-old actor compiled a list of everything he “gave up” during the year.

“This year I let go of … the phase of life where everyone lives under one roof, our home, our beloved partners, the dog, Los Angeles,” Paltrow wrote before adding other entries, including letting go of “something. the people who suited me, the idea that I could correct misconceptions [and] to believe in self-limiting beliefs.”

While Paltrow admits she’s “still working” on shedding such limiting beliefs, she has a long list of goals for the coming year.

“In 2025, I would like to point to freedom and expansion, to feel better, to be out of work,” commented the Goop founder. “[Also to] continue to be able to have difficult conversations, continuously reevaluate everything, look at things in a new way [and] I’m surprised.”

In her post, Paltrow noted that all of the aforementioned topics taught her “very strong lessons.”

“I had a lot of goodbyes this year; I had revelations that led to the end of things,” she said, citing her revelations as a result of a recent numerology reading. “The numerologist guided me through all these things, but this year was about learning to understand that it was a year of endings and that sometimes those endings were really painful and came with big changes and restructuring.”

Paltrow concluded, “I’ve learned to let go of holding on and to deeply learn to let go. And understanding that everything always happens to benefit you more, even if it doesn’t feel good.”

Throughout 2024, Paltrow navigated the dynamics within her Goop business and her family. It was also the year she became an empty nester when son Moses, 18, went to Brown University to begin his college career. (Paltrow shares Moses and her older sister, Apple, with her ex-husband Chris Martin. Apple, 20, attends Vanderbilt University.)

“It was a big change. “I didn’t know what to expect, but I knew it was going to be difficult because Apple and I are very close and we’ve always been together,” Paltrow said earlier. Us Weekly in October 2022. “But I didn’t know. It was like the worst heartbreak I’ve ever been through [felt]. I felt like the love of my life was separated from me for weeks. It was very bad.”

The Oscar winner added at the time, “Now, I’m getting used to it and it helps to see her happy and well-groomed. That makes a big difference. And he just came home for October break, so that was great. I will see him on Thanksgiving.”

Paltrow, who married Brad Falchuk in 2018, reunited with both children last month at Le Bal Des Débutantes in Paris during Apple’s first public appearance. They then celebrated Christmas and Hanukkah as a family earlier this week.
