Meta’s initial response to the problem was to offer an out-of-warranty replacement for $150. Unsurprisingly, the response to that suggestion was not well received and Meta’s support site came back with a solution to stop the gap: Force restart the headset by holding the power button for 45 seconds.
A general solution is coming, according to Meta, but few details have been provided.
