Share Market News: Domestic equity benchmarks are set for a lower start to Friday’s session, with GIFT Nifty futures, an early indicator of the headline Nifty50 index, last seen trading up 3.8 points at 23,933 before the opening bell. On Thursday, both the major gauges ended almost unchanged at the end of the choppy session, with the Nify50 gaining 22.6 points to 23,750.2 and the Sensex finishing lower by 0.4 point at 78,472.5. FMCG giant HUL has received a GST notice demanding a penalty of up to Rs 30.2 lakh.
HUL said the order is favorable and will conduct an investigation to exercise its right of appeal.
It also said there is no material impact on its financial operations or operations as a result of the order.
HUL also stated that it was delayed in disclosing the order as it was reviewing the same and looking at the next steps in this matter.
