The ‘Alien: Earth’ series offers a behind-the-scenes look at the xenomorph

The upcoming FX series Alien: Earth TV personality Noah Hawley (Fargo, Legion) remains largely hidden, but recently something interesting has come into focus. Rebecca and Kevin Joelson, the producers behind the show’s trailer, recently shared photos and a video of how the clip came together.

What’s even more surprising is that the trailer’s deadly xenomorph is made with real effects, not computer-generated imagery (CGI). In a clip on Joelsons website, the character is decked out in a xeno helmet, with sharp teeth and an alien jaw inside. The production team’s work was seen in the teaser, which featured an image of Earth in a glowing xeno dome and the tagline: “In 2120, Mother Earth is waiting.”
