Minnesota Vikings owner Mark Wilf has the latest in football season expectations on ‘The Claman Countdown.’
Harrison Butker was scrutinized for the first faith-based talk he gave earlier this year, but it didn’t seem to have a negative impact on his brand’s sales. Apparently, it does the opposite.
The NFL Players Association released data on sales of NFL players’ authorized merchandise from March 1 to May 31. The union said the data included sales from products “ranging from adult and youth game jerseys, t-shirts, hoodies, bobbleheads, plush toys. , socks, face covers, headbands, graphics, wall decals, backpacks, pins, photos, drinkware, pet products, and more.”

Butker was among the top 20 players in all licensed merchandise sold, according to the NFLPA. He is ranked 11th on the list. He is ranked higher than Travis Kelce, Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen, Russell Wilson, Jared Goff and a few others.
It was Butker’s first appearance on the NFLPA list and only the second player to make it after Cincinnati Bengals kicker Evan McPherson did it in 2022.

At the start of the camp, Butker dismissed criticism he received for a speech suggesting women should embrace the term “homemaker” and criticized President Biden for his position on abortion while practicing Catholicism.
“I will stand behind what I say,” he said in August. “I look at the season as a small period of about five months where I can just represent like Harrison Butker as a faithful Catholic. Then, obviously, when the season comes, I try to focus as much as I can on football and not being a distraction for the Chiefs.”
