Torrey DeVitto she is officially a mother, welcoming her first child during the holidays.
“We wish a happy birthday to my husband, the man who makes all my dreams come true every day,” they said Chicago Med alum, 40, wrote on Instagram on Saturday, December 21. “The biggest achievement I’ve ever had was giving our daughter an amazing father like you. We love you so much 🖤.”
DeVitto uploaded a photo of the husband Jared LaPine holding the baby by the skin after it is born.
According to LaPine’s Instagram, his wife gave birth on November 21. They named their daughter Lyle-Josephine Alina.
LaPine, 34, also paid tribute to his wife on social media.
“As I sit in my hospital bed, watching my wife hold our beautiful newborn baby girl, I want to take a moment to praise this beautiful, strong, and amazing woman,” he said on Instagram late last month. “In these 9 months of pregnancy, I have watched my wife put our child first in everything she did. I watched many sleepless nights, terrible acid-reflux, horrible nausea, and strong hormones.”

LaPine went on to say, “We were lured on Monday morning at 7:30am and little Lyle-Josephine did not arrive on Thursday at 4:19pm. It was the worst struggle I have ever seen and it scared the hell out of me. Torrey is the strongest person I have ever met. Time. He did all this so that our little girl could have a good human life. He was very successful.”
LaPine went on to say that she felt “very lucky” to “watch and learn” from DeVitto, who she already calls “the best mom in the world.”
“What a special gift that is and thank you for making me a father! I love you both girls with everything I have,” he concluded.
The actress and LaPine met through DeVitto’s cousin, who became an Instagram executive in June 2023. Three months later, Us Weekly only confirmed that LaPine proposes.
DeVitto and LaPine announced they were expecting a baby in May of this year and tied the knot in September.

At the time, DeVitto praised LaPine for being “supportive” for stepping up “every step of the way” throughout the trip.
“He always massages my legs, massages my feet, massages my back. And he doesn’t make me feel like an amazing person,” she said Us. “You can be very, very supportive, and very nice.”
