Fire signed M Dylan Borso on a domestic contract

The Chicago Fire signed midfielder Dylan Borso to a three-year domestic contract on Friday.

The 18-year-old Windy City native’s deal includes club options for the 2028 and 2029 seasons.

Borso joined the Chicago Fire Academy in 2017 and played for MLS NEXT Pro team Chicago Fire II in 2023-24.

He competed collegiately at Wake Forest in 2024 and posted four goals and four assists in 24 games (11 starts).

“Dylan’s journey is a great example of the development process that exists for talented young players at the club,” said Fire coach Gregg Berhalter. “From excelling in our Academy to gaining valuable experience for the Chicago Fire II, Dylan has shown incredible determination and growth. After an outstanding freshman season at Wake Forest, we are excited to sign him to a Homegrown Player contract and help him continue his team’s development and outreach. his intentions.”

Borso called his signing “a dream come true.”
