The principal of a government school in Bihar district, Vaishali, was caught on camera stealing eggs meant for children’s lunch.
After the video of the principal went viral on social media, the provincial Education Department conducted an investigation into the matter and found that the incident was at a middle school in Rikhar village in Vaishali’s Lalganj block.
The department then issued a notice to the accused principal of the school, Suresh Sahani, asking why an FIR should not be registered against him for theft. It also said that Sahani has tarnished the reputation of the education department.
In this video, which is said to be from December 12, the principal is seen putting the eggs that came for the children’s lunch into his bag and taking them to his home.
The parents of the children attending this school protested and demanded the removal of the principal after the video emerged.
However, Suresh Sahani said that he did not take the eggs to his house, but gave them to the school cook.
