Rachakonda police issued guidelines for celebrating New Year in Hyderabad on Wednesday. The police said that all organizers of the event, including those inside and outside, must get permission from the police at least 12 days before the event.
According to the guidelines, outdoor sound systems are allowed until 10 pm, while indoor systems must stop at 1 am.
“All events that take place in farmhouses, pubs must end according to the prescribed time and restaurants and restaurants must follow the rules beyond normal business activities,” the police said.
Organizers have been advised not to allow fireworks or firearms at events. Police have instructed their organizers to avoid overbooking of passes or tickets to prevent potential problems with laws and regulations.
The police said that all event areas, including the parking areas, should be monitored by CCTV as per the Telangana Public Safety (Measures) Enforcement Act, 2013.
Parking arrangements should be made based on the available crowd and additional emergency plans made adequately and those should satisfy the traffic police, the guidelines said.
It said there must be a specially designated way for women and children to enter.
“Insert visible female bodyguards and explain them properly so that they can take care of women and children,” he said.
The police also asked the organizers to ensure that the security guards behave in a respectful manner towards women and others.
Organizers have been instructed to provide separate enclosures for bachelors and families and ensure that “no bachelors jump or fall into family and women areas.
The police said that the promoters will be responsible for “showing respect during dancing, dirty gestures, words”. Organizers have also been instructed to ensure that no play contains obscenity or nudity.
If they don’t do that, the organizers will face criminal action, the police said.
The management should arrange to provide drivers and cabs to customers who are intoxicated as a precautionary measure after the event, police said.
The police also decided to deploy sniffer dogs at many events throughout the city to prevent the use of drugs and narcotics.
Teams of the Special Police Unit will be kept on standby in case of emergencies. SHE teams must be present at events and keep a close eye on those who will be performing at night, the guidelines say.
