My ideal December reset day includes dreaming up home projects for the new year. All of this trickery is in line with design trend predictions, naturally. As an interior blogger, I like to chat with designers this time of year to get their take on the future. According to them, we are moving forward with comfort, good health, and personal spaces at home, and I for one, am all for it.
Ahead, see which 2025 design trends experts predict will be big in the coming year. From high-end textures, creamy neutrals, and bold color palettes, there’s something for everyone in 2025.

Warm minimalism
Since brown has had a moment all year, it was no surprise when Pantone announced the color of the year for 2025, Mocha Mousse. Creamy neutrals like Mocha Mousse create inviting, beautiful, elegant spaces and Stephanie Wiott of Stephanie Wiott Designs predicts warm color palettes combined with minimalism will be everywhere next year. “Minimalism in 2025 is not about stripping everything down to the bare essentials. It’s about embracing simplicity with warmth and texture,” he says. “We lean towards creamy beige, terracotta accents, and organic materials like green wood and stone.”
Does this trend sound familiar? Camille has embraced warm minimalism for years. His home is full of warmth and comfort, and his places are full of luxury without chaos. Consider decluttering your space and adding natural materials and finishes to your home in 2025 if warm minimalism sounds appealing.
Living Spaces
A home spa? Yes, please! Many design trends for 2025 focus on self-care and wellness—think saunas, cold plunge rooms, and steam showers. “Everyone wants a spa-like experience in the comfort of their own home,” says Nicole Hirsch of Nicole Hirsch Interiors. “People want to carve out spaces in their basements to create these small living spaces.”
Since the beginning of this epidemic, the desire to stay at home has never wavered. The goal is to stay the same and create luxurious spaces with the amenities of life at home. In addition to home spas, home gyms, yoga rooms, and meditation centers continue to be popular. Ah, the joy.
Soft Curves and Organic Shapes
Another trend that stands out is the rise of curved edges. “We’re moving from sharp lines and strong forms to furniture and decor with soft, natural textures,” says Wiott. Staying away from straight lines, the uniform goes well with a quiet, cozy environment that encourages us to sit still.
“Curved sofas, arched doorways, and sculpted lamps create an inviting and relaxing atmosphere,” Wiott continued. “These conditions promote comfort and relaxation—something we take seriously when designing spaces.”
Comfort and Durability
Gone are the days when rooms at home felt grand, full, and reserved for special occasions. The design trends of 2025 are all about marrying luxury and style. “More than ever, clients need their homes to not only look good, but for pieces to be comfortable and durable,” says Hirsch. “It’s not even a thing. With a huge range of functional fabrics and solid metals, stones, and woods, your furniture should check all the boxes.”
There are many options for comfortable, high-quality fabrics that are built to last. Textured neutrals in particular, will be everywhere, according to Hirsch. He says: “May this practice never end.” “The combination of premium fabrics and finishes creates a calm environment.”
Statement Stonework
All three designers I spoke to predict that stoneware will be incredibly popular by 2025, but with a twist. “Colored natural stones will be front and center, appearing in furniture, countertops, and accessories to add vibrancy,” Danielle Chiprut of Danielle Rose Design Co. “Expect to see kitchens and bathrooms incorporating stones like onyx, green marble, or colored quartzite to create unexpected focal points that combine natural appeal with bold colors.”
Wiott agrees. “Stone is no longer confined to countertops—it’s becoming a bold design statement,” he says. “Whether it’s used for floors, feature walls, or carved pieces, veined marbles, and carved stones bring beauty and movement to interiors.”
Looking for more ideas for making statement stones? “We really depend on using one-of-a-kind marble slabs not just for bathrooms or kitchens, but also for pieces of furniture and fixtures—stones of unique color with bold lines,” Hirsch recommends.
Bright, Full Colors
Although warm neutrals continue to be popular, 2024 has brought a resurgence of color and dimension that is here. “Deep, saturated tones like forest green, midnight blue, and aubergine will dominate in 2025,” says Wiott. “We layer paintings within these pallets to create intimate, light-reflecting spaces—perfect for bedrooms, libraries, or studies.”
Letting your personality shine in your home is always on trend, but playing with color, precious tones in particular, will be especially popular in 2025. “These amazing shades will appear on feature walls, upholstery, and even pieces of art, infusing spaces with energy and personality,” said Chiprut. “It’s all about making a statement while adding warmth and sophistication.”
Artisan, Handmade Furniture
Maximalism lends itself to highly personalized spaces, but there are other ways to add your own unique touch. That is, custom furniture made specifically for your home. “We’re seeing a big push toward pieces that are handmade and look that way,” Hirsch said. “Think custom wood stains, organic shapes, and custom-made pieces to fit the space.”
