Congress MP Priyanka Gandhi Vadra made a statement in Parliament on Monday when she brought a bag with the word “Palestine.” The bag had symbols of solidarity with the Palestinian people, including a watermelon, a well-known symbol of resistance in the region. A long-time advocate of the Palestinian cause, Gandhi has always voiced his opposition to the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
