Gio Reyna scored for Borussia Dortmund on his first Bundesliga start of the season

Gio Reyna scored for Borussia Dortmund in his first Bundesliga start of the season on Sunday, but it was not enough to win.

Former Dortmund player, Jacob Bruun Larsen, scored against Hoffenheim in a 1-1 draw.

Reyna’s goal came after he tried to get out with his chest, then fired the ball into the top right corner to give Dortmund a goal after the break.

It was also Reyna’s first goal of the season.

The American, 22, started the season for the first time on Wednesday when Dortmund lost 3-2 against Barcelona in the Champions League.

Dortmund coach Nuri Sahin apparently felt Reyna had done enough to deserve another start four days later.

Reyna has been hampered by injuries in previous seasons.

It is reported by the Associated Press.
