Viral Ring Girl Sydney Thomas Announces Her Return to the Squared Circle

Sydney Thomas, also known as “Viral Ring Girl” after entering the spotlight after appearing in the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight last month, is returning to the squared circle.

Thomas, 21, announced the news of his comeback with two Instagram Stories shared on Thursday, December 12.

“She’s back in uniform,” she wrote alongside a selfie, where she was seen rocking her “ring girl” outfit. A second full-length post showed her outfit in full, and she simply captioned it “weigh ins.”

Since gaining instant fame thanks to her success as a ring girl in November’s highly anticipated fight, Thomas’ career has continued to grow.

Earlier this month, he announced that he had officially signed with the sports agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA), which caters to big names like the MLB star. Shohei OhtaniNBA star Devin BookerNHL star Sidney Crosby and a WNBA star Cameron Brink.

Thomas took to social media to reveal the news on December 1 with a TikTok video highlighting “the craziest week of my life.” In the clip – which also includes a small photo of his meeting with CAA – he revealed in the text that he has officially “signed”.

There have also been major changes in Thomas’ personal life recently. The college student recently revealed that they are breaking up with her boyfriend, but she clarified that the split happened before she found internet fame.

“[I] he had no problem with her at all – she was great,” Thomas told the YouTube creator Nick Nayersina in the December 2 interview.

“I just broke up with him because I was like, ‘I wanted and wanted more time to be with myself,'” added Thomas.

In the interview, she explained that she wanted to “discover who I am” and needed space to “be alone.”

Ever since the big Paul-Tyson fight, Thomas has been getting more and more attention for his efforts.

Talking to Us Weekly following the fight, Thomas said he was “very blessed and very grateful” for all his new fans.

“I think the next thing for me is to continue to build my social media and continue to collaborate [Paul’s] Most Valuable Promotions and being a ring girl,” said Thomas. “I’m thinking of dialing back the ring girl and modeling part of my life and sharing that with my audience that I’ve built now.”

Along with new fans, Thomas has attracted critics but he had a message for those who underestimated him.

“Contrary to popular opinion or popular belief, I’m actually smart,” Thomas said in a TikTok video posted in late November. “People get the image that a beautiful blonde has no brains. But I got a 33 on my ACT in high school and I’m graduating college a year early. So, take it as you will.”
