The San Antonio Spurs will try to build momentum with a 122-115 double overtime victory over the Oklahoma City Thunder in Game 1. This Western Conference Finals series opened with a bang, with Victor Wembanyama coming off a historic night.

The Spurs big man collected 41 points and 24 rebounds, the best record in the conference finals. Wemby also became the second player in franchise history to go 40-20 in the NBA Playoffs, joining David Robinson from 30 years ago.

As for the Thunder, this was a head-to-head encounter after going undefeated in the first two rounds. Strength was evenly matched between the two teams throughout the game. However, without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Jalen Williams, Oklahoma City’s starters combined for 15 points. Alex Caruso was a big spark off the bench with 31 points in 32 minutes.
