“If you’re new here, my name is Tammy. Some of my friends call me Queen Tammy. You can do it too if you want,” he said 1000 lbs. Sister the star, 38, said on Instagram in a video shared on Thursday, September 19. “Here on my page you will find inspiration, the truth from me, and hopefully inspiration to continue your journey.”
Slaton added that she wants her page to be a place for everyone, including those struggling mentally and physically.
“Whether you’re 500 pounds like I was, or you’ve almost lost all your weight, or you’re dealing with stress, or you don’t know what to do tomorrow, just know, you’re safe here,” she said.
In the caption of the post, Slaton shared that he plans to dedicate his account to providing the guidance that helped him get to where he is today.
“Here, you’ll find inspiration, motivation, and tips to help me grow into the woman I know I’m meant to be,” she wrote. “Whether you’re on your transition or just looking for a great place, I’m happy to have you here. Let’s keep pushing forward together! 💪💖.”
Slaton rose to fame on the TLC series in which she starred alongside her sister Amy Slaton. In the show, which started in 2020, women write about their weight loss journey. At first, Tammy weighed 600 pounds.
In Season 4, which aired in 2023, Tammy discovered that she had hit 717 pounds, leading her to check out a weight loss facility. After successfully completing a rehabilitation program, Tammy achieved her weight loss goal and qualified for bariatric surgery.
“The process of getting the surgery approved was not easy. I fixed my hips,” he said to himself Us Weekly in February 2023. “I was starving most of the time and my hard work paid off.”
Earlier this year, Tammy celebrated a milestone as she revealed she had lost 500 pounds.
“You are truly amazing ladies and I’m happy to call you all my friends,” she wrote on August’s TikTok video in which she poses with “weight loss soldiers.”
Over the next month, Tammy opened up about the mental health challenges she faced before being inspired to focus on her life.
“I felt like if there was more help I had at that time, maybe I wouldn’t have been so big,” he said in the clip. “Its attitude is very playful. Being depressed and addicted to food, I eat my emotions, I took it out on food. A lot of things can go wrong. Life is scary.”
