The Delhi BJP’s new slogan, “Ab Nahi Senge, Badal Ke Rahenge,” has sparked political tension, drawing a sharp response from Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal, followed by a swift rebuttal from Delhi BJP President Virendra Sachdeva.
Arvind Kejriwal, the former Delhi Chief Minister, criticized the slogan, saying the BJP wanted to stop his government’s welfare schemes, including free electricity and water supplies. Kejriwal pointed out that the BJP’s demand for change threatens the continuation of these schemes, which have been crucial to the public support of the AAP administration.
Reacting quickly, Virendra Sachdeva dismissed Kejriwal’s fears as baseless and accused him of spreading false information. According to Sachdeva, the slogan has gained instant popularity among the people of Delhi, disturbed Kejriwal and prompted him to make baseless claims. He clarified that the BJP has no plans to abandon existing welfare schemes.
Sachdeva emphasized that the popularity of this slogan reflects the widespread dissatisfaction with the current AAP government leadership. He accused Kejriwal and his colleagues, including Manish Sisodia and Satyendra Jain, of being involved in corruption.
In an official statement, the BJP emphasized that the slogan resonated with the youth and women of Delhi, who now seem determined to replace what they call an ineffective and corrupt administration.
While ensuring the continuation of welfare schemes, Sachdeva hinted at imminent legal action against corruption in the current government.
