Kumbh Mela 2025: In Sector 20 (Arail) of the Mahakumbh Mela area, the Yogi government is setting up a luxury tent city with 2,000 Swiss style cottage tents.

The Uttar Pradesh government is building a tent city to accommodate thousands of devotees expected to attend the Maha Kumbh 2025. More than 2,000 Swiss style cottage tents will be constructed in Sector 20 of the Maha Kumbh Mela (Arail) area. Six companies are involved in the project, which is managed by the Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Development Corporation Limited (UPSTDC). The six companies are Aagaman, Kumbh Camp India, Rishikul Kumbh Cottage, Kumbh Village, Kumbh Canvas, and Era. Accommodations in the tents will be equivalent to those found in five-star hotels.
Maha Kumbh 2025: All About 2,000 Swiss Cottage-style Tents
There will be four types of tents available: lodge, villa, maharaja, and Swiss cottage. It will cost between Rs 1,500 and Rs 35,000 per day, while additional non-bedroom tents will cost between Rs 4,000 and Rs 8,000.
The center is expected to serve 45 million visitors from 75 countries.

Tent sizes will range from 250 to 400 square meters for Deluxe Blocks, 480 to 580 square meters for Super Deluxe Tents, and 900 square meters for Villa Tents.
In addition, air conditioners, sofas, workstations, beds, mattresses, geysers, fire extinguishers, mosquito nets, WiFi, and restaurants are among the amenities.
Information about yoga, cultural activities, and important historical and religious places in and around Prayagraj will also be included in the tent package.

The tented city is scheduled to open from January 1 to March 5, 2025. People can make reservations through the Mahakumbh app or the UPSTDC website.
In Prayagraj, the upcoming Maha Kumbh, held once every 12 years, is expected to begin on January 13 and end on February 26, 2025.
