Fish looted from an exhibition attended by Nitish Kumar in Bihar’s Saharsa

There were dramatic scenes at a function attended by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in Saharsa district on Friday as people looted the fish kept there as part of the exhibition.

There was a lot of chaos as people jumped into the biofloc tank and looted all the fish as soon as Nitish Kumar left the place.

The Chief Minister of Bihar had come to Saharsa to participate in various government programs. During this time, he first opened the Maa Vishhari temple at Diwari and then went to Amarpur to inspect the exhibition.

In this exhibition, a biofloc tank was installed by the fisheries department where a lot of live fish are kept. People, especially children and young people, go fishing.

Seconds later, people could be seen holding fish in their hands. One of the youth said that they came there to catch fish and did not see Nitish Kumar.

Meanwhile, District Fisheries Officer Subodh Kumar said that they had planned a protest against the Chief Minister, but ended up losing.

“After the event ended, people threw the fish and looted it. They also damaged the biofloc tank during this process. We lost about Rs 45,000 because of this act of people”, said Kumar.
