Ending the days of speculation about Maharashtra’s next chief minister, Governor CP Radhakrishnan on Wednesday (December 4, 2024) invited BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis and his party-led coalition Mahayuti to form the next government on Thursday (December 5, 2024). This invitation came a few hours after Mr. Fadnavis, 54, was unanimously elected as the leader of the Maharashtra BJP Legislative Assembly, paving the way for his swearing-in as Chief Minister for the third time.
The event will be held at Azad Maidan in south Mumbai at 5.30 pm on Thursday (December 5, 2024). It will be attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, several Union Ministers, apart from the Chief Ministers of the States ruled by the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance.
