iQOO, one of the few smartphone brands to enter the Indian market, has announced the upcoming launch of the IQOO 13 in India. The smartphone manufacturer has already confirmed that the iQOO 13 will feature the latest octa-core Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.
iQOO 13 launch date in India
Nipun Marya, CEO of iQOO India, took to social media today to announce the launch date of the highly anticipated device. According to the information shared, the iQOO 13 will be launched on December 3, 2024.
“The countdown begins! #iQOO13 is almost here—get ready to #BeTheGOAT!” wrote to X.
Originally launched on October 30 in China, the device is expected to sport the same design and key specifications in India.
The phone will be available in a Legend Edition with three green-back-red tricolor patterns, thanks to iQOO’s collaboration with BMW.
Customers will be able to purchase the iQOO 13 through the official iQOO e-store and Amazon, as the Amazon microsite is already live.
iQOO 13 Expected Specifications
The expected specifications of this device include the Halo light feature, and a 2K LTPO AMOLED display panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. The device will also be equipped with Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC paired with Q2 gaming chipset.
Notably, the iQOO 13 could be the second Snapdragon 8 Elite powered device in India, following the Realme GT 7 Pro.
In China, the iQOO 13 was launched with the Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, the Q2 gaming chipset, and up to 16GB of RAM. The internal storage of the device can be expanded up to 1TB. The device runs on Android 15-based OriginOS 5, and in India, it will probably come with FuntouchOS 15 skin. In addition, the handset will have a 6,150mAh battery with 120W wired charging support.
The device packs a triple camera setup, which includes a 50-megapixel triple rear camera unit, which includes a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor, and a 50-megapixel ultra-wide shooter. The smartphone has a 32MP sensor for selfies. The IQOO 13 is expected to have an IP68 rated build for dust and water resistance.
