2024-25 College Football Playoff Rankings – November 5

The 2024-25 college football rankings are out. November 5th was the official start of the 2024-25 CFP playoff and bowl season. This is the first season we’ve seen 12 teams play in the postseason, so there will be a lot of interest in the multi-team rankings heading into the season this year. Oregon starts the first CFP ranking as #1 with Ohio State as #2, and Georgia is #3.

So, some things to note about the 2024-25 college playoff ranking that just came out. First, the top four conference champions get the #1 through #4 seeds (and the byes that go with those spots). So…that’s why you see Ohio State as a #5 seed with a #2 ranking right now. It is the first level, so we will see a good movement of the number of teams throughout the season.
